An Ordinance to amend the Urban Council Ordinance.

[13 February 1981]

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Urban Council (Amendment) Short title. Ordinance 1981.

2.

Section 7 of the principal Ordinance is amended-

(a) by being renumbered as subsection (1);

(b) in subsection (1)(a), by inserting before "in the case" the

following-

"subject to subsection (2),"; and

(c) by inserting after subsection (1) the following subsection---

"(2) A member elected at the ordinary election in March 1981 shall hold office for 2 years from 1 April 1981.".

Passed by the Hong Kong Legislative Council this 11th day of February 1981.
