The off peakstored value fares will apply at all times on Sundays and public holidays, at all times except for the morning peak on Saturdays, and outside of morning and evening peak periods of about three hours each on weekdays.

The date on which these fare revisions will be introduced is dependent upon the efficiency of the stored value machinery together with other factors such as the timing and amount of any increases in bus fares which must be relevant. Stored value will be introduced at the beginning of April before any MTR fare revisions. This paper is therefore submitted for information before a specific date of implementing fare changes is determined.
