MEETING BETWEEN LORD KADOORTE AND LORD PRIVY SEAL: GUANGDONG
NUCLEAR PROJECT
Line to Take
Lord Kadoorie will already have met Mr A G Manzie, Deputy Secretary
at the Department of Industry responsible for this project, and
will subsequently be meeting the Secretary of State for Industry.
Any substantive discussion on the details of the Guangdong nuclear
project will take place at those meetings. The Lord Privy Seal may
therefore wish to:-
ask for Lord Kadoorie's views on the political importance
of this project
confirm the continuing involvement in and enthusiasm for
this project by HMG
reiterate that a team of officials is prepared to go to
Peking as soon as an invitation is issued.
