When I was last in Guangzhou, I indicated to you that we would be very pleased if you and other members of the Guangdong Power Company could visit the United Kingdom when we would have the opportunity to show you our manufacturing plants and many interesting power installations, not only nuclear but fossil-fired and pumped storage projects.
Since my return, I have discussed this matter with representatives of Her Majesty's Government and with the Power Authorities who build and operate the power stations and I am now writing to extend a formal invitation to you and your colleagues to visit the United Kingdom.
I am aware that you have many commitments but I sincerely hope that it will be possible for you to accept this invitation. In the event that you are able to come, it will only be necessary to advise me of your anticipated travel date and the duration of your stay. I would then be very happy to submit a detailed programme to you for your consideration and to make all the necessary arrangements in the United Kingdom during your stay.

convenience.
