1. I attach, for Mr Ridley's information, a list of major projects

in Hong Kong, in which UK firms have an interest. UK exports as a

whole to Hong Kong were worth £559 million in 1980 making the Territory

our second largest market in Asia. The UK is Hong Kong's sixth largest

supplier providing, in 1980, 4.9% of total imports.
