TIN SHUI WAI DEVELOPMENT PROPOSAL
ADVANTAGES TO THE HONG KONG GOVERNMENT
The MCL development proposal offers considerable advantages to the Hong Kong Government.

The development can make a significant contribution to Government's needs for housing and building land at least two years earlier than any other development.
The land is already available.

A comprehensive Master Plan has been completed and indicates a commercially viable Development.
There is considerable financial support from institutions who wish to invest in the development.
It provides appreciable external financial and staff resources support to Government in helping them to achieve their land and housing policies.
The unit costs of the development are less than any other alternative Government proposal.
(9) The timing of the Development coincides with an identifiable
deficiency in Government's land production and housing plans.
(10) The proposal gives Government an ideal opportunity to implement its currently publicised policies of wishing to involve private sector resources more heavily in the tasks of land preparation and housing production.
