OFFICIAL COMMITTEE ON EXPORTS : EX(0): VISIT OF THE LORD PRIVY SEAL TO THE FAR EAST
1. I have been asked to provide a paper for EX(0)'s meeting on 27 November to cover the commercial aspects of Mr Atkins' visit to the Far East. The paper is required in final form on Monday 23 November. I attach a preliminary draft which I have modelled on an initiating paper prepared for the Secretary of State for Trade's visit to Iraq in October. I should be grateful if you and copy addressees could consider this draft and let me have contributions or amendments by close of play on Thursday 19 November. You will see that there is no reference to projects in Hong Kong.
