Private practitioner in orthopaedic surgery and Consultant Surgeon of the Ruttonjee Sanatorium and various private hospitals. Also has interest in property development.
Has been member of the Medical Council and Chairman of the Hong Kong Joint Council for the Physically and Mentally Disabled. President of the Hong Kong Sports Association for the Physically Handicapped and the Hong Kong Medical Association and British Medical Association long kong Branch. He is World President of the Rehabilitation Development Co-ordination Committee.

Chairman of the Steering Committee on Rehabilitation Programme. He is President of Rehabilitation International for 1980-84 (1981 is the United Nations year for the disabled). is a well known orthopaedic surgeon and his work on re- habilitation is recognised both locally and overseas. has a manifested interest in, and is generally respected for, his devotion to rehabilitation work and medical services
