Progress Made and Present Position
To monitor possible existence of illegal immi- grants through district Champion Liaison Committees.
(b) in-depth interviews of young offenders prose- cuted in 1979 and 1980;
(c) general discussion with
official and unofficial parties who have expressed interest or views on the subject.
The Working Group is on schedule and a progress
report was submitted to the Fight Crime Committee on 15th January 1981.
Since November 1980 each district has a Champion Liaison Committee convened by DOO/CDOO with repre- sentatives from departments including Education, Labour, Prisons, Social Welfare, Housing, Urban Services, Public Works, Agriculture & Fisheries, Legal Aid and Marine. A monthly report is submitted to Security Branch for information of GSC.
