given to encouraging more departments to establish informal but direct contact with selected
interest groups. As a start, CIU has arranged for the Executive Director of SoCO to meet the Deputy Director of Housing (Administration & Planning) informally.
b) A draft policy paper on
liaison with students has been prepared in consul- tation with HAD.
(b) The change in name will be announced internally when a suitable op- portunity arises.
(a) The value of such
informal contact will be evaluated before further attempt is made to widen this approach to include other departments.
(b) Circulate draft paper to
the depts concerned for their comments & agree- ment to the proposed policy. Commence implementation of the policy.
