Has been President of the Asian Confederation of Credit Unions and Hong Kong's representative to various overseas credit union conferences; actively involved in the work of the Industrial Relation Institute.

Current Director of the World Council of Credit Unions, Chairman of the Hong Kong Justice and Peace Commission (appointed by the Catholic Bishop of Hong Kong).

Mr. So is a widely known and respected social worker with strong grassroots connections. His many years of working experience amongst the less privileged sector of the community as their friend and helper has given him a good insight and understanding of their ways of life and problems.
