Now that Anguilla has reverted from the status of Associated State to that of a Dependency, HMG re-assume direct responsibility for the protection of all persons in the territory, and the concept of evacuation of UK citizens is no longer valid.

2. I would be grateful if you could inform the appropriate MOD departments that Anguilla should now be removed from J.T.P. 89 of 20 April 1979. Anguilla is covered by J.T.P. 61 of 18 January 1979 (Internal Security Reinforcement) and this still stands.
