GOVERNOR APPOINTMENT

Her Majesty The Queen has been pleased to approve the appointment of Sir Edward Youde KCMG MBE as Governor and Commander-in-Chief, Hong Kong in succession to Sir Murray MacLehose GBE KCMG KCVO whose term of office expires in April 1982. Sir Edward is expected to take up his appointment shortly thereafter.
