1.
We are in the process of drawing up a letter of appoint- ment for Robin McLaren based on that of David Wilson.
2.
Robin has asked us to take up with you in advance the timing of his annual leave in 1982. As he has children at boarding school, he is anxious that his (effectively) annual leave. should coincide with their summer holidays. He will not. however, be arriving in Hong Kong until October, but would like to have it established now that there would be no theoretical objection to his taking leave after only 9 months. The exact timing could be settled nearer the date.
