5. Either government may suspend the foregoing provisions in whole or in part temporarily for reasons of public order, and the suspension shall be notified immediately to the other government through the diplomatic channel.

6. Either government may denounce the Agreement in whole or in part subject to one month's notice in writing.

7. The present Agreement shall enter into force on the 15th of June, 1960.

If the Spanish Government are prepared to accept the foregoing provisions, I have the honour to suggest that the present Note and Your Excellency's reply in similar terms should be considered as placing on record the Agreement of the two Governments in this matter.

Tengo la honra de acusar recibo a V.I. de su atenta Nota de fecha de hoy concebida en estos términos :

"Tengo el honor de informar a V.E. que, para facilitar el desplazamiento de personas entre el Reino Unido y España y sus territorios dependientes, el Gobierno de Su Majestad en el Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña y Norte de Irlanda está dispuesto a concluir un Acuerdo con el Gobierno español en los siguientes términos:

1.-Los súbditos españoles poseedores de pasaportes españoles válidos podrán desplazarse libremente desde cualquier lugar al Reino Unido de Gran Bretaña y Norte de Irlanda, islas del Canal, isla de Man y territorios dependientes a excepción de Basutolandia, Bechuania, Hong Kong, Malta, Nuevas Hébridas, Nigeria, Federación de Rodhesia y Nyasalandia, Suazilandia y Tonga, sin necesidad de obtener previamente un visado.

2. Los súbditos británicos y las personas bajo protección británica poseedores de pasaportes válidos en cuya cubierta figure la inscripción British Passport' en la parte superior, y en la inferior la inscripción 'United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland' o 'Jersey 'Guernsey and its Dependencies' o el nombre de un territorio británico dependiente de ultramar, a excepción de aquellos territorios excluidos de este Acuerdo, especificados en el párrafo anterior, y en el interior la descripción del status nacional del poseedor como British Subject' o British subject, Citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies' o 'British subject, Citizen of the United Kingdom, Islands and Colonies' o 'British subject, Citizen of the State of Singapore' o 'British Protected Person', podrán entrar libremente en España Peninsular, islas Baleares y Canarias, Ceuta y Melilla, por los puestos de frontera oficialmente habilitados al efecto por el Estado español y salir por uno de los mismos sin necesidad de visado.
