Amend the Immigration Service Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

Short title.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Immigration

Service (Amendment) Ordinance 1980.

Amendment of section 6.

2.

Section 6 of the principal Ordinance is amended

(Cap. 331.) by deleting

"

', signed by the Director, ".

Explanatory Memorandum

Under the existing provisions of section 6

of the Immigration Service Ordinance warrant cards

issued to every member of the Immigration Service

are required to be signed personally by the Director

of Immigration. It is considered that this requirement

is not necessary and section 6 is amended accordingly.
