If there is no lesser alternative, you may fire after due

which may cause serious

bodily injury.

To effect the arrest of any person whom you see committing, or know to have committed a serious and

violent crime.

Firing Without Warning

8.

When a warning is impracticable, Maritime Security Forces

may fire without warning :-

a.

Against a person using a bomb or firearm against you

or those whom it is your duty to protect.

Against a person carrying what you can positively

identify as a firearm if you reasonably believe they

are about to use it for offensive purposes.

If there is no other way to protect yourself or those

whom it is your duty to protect from the danger or being killed or

seriously injured.
