IMMIGRATION (UNAUTHORIZED ENTRANTS) (AMENDMENT)
ORDER 1980
Made by the Governor in Council under section 37B
Citation.
1.
This order may be cited as the Immigration (Unauthorized Entrants) (Amendment) Order 1980.
Amendment of
paragraph 2.
2. Paragraph 2 of the principal order is amended
(L.N. 194/79.) by inserting after sub-paragraph (1)(a) the following
:
(aa) all persons who leave, or seek to leave,
The People's Republic of China when not in
possession of documents issued in that
country permitting them to do so in
accordance with its laws;".

Explanatory Note
Parts VIIA and VIIB of the Immigration Ordinance
provide sanctions against trafficking in "unauthorized
entrants", who are defined as persons declared to be such
by an order made by the Governor in Council.
This order adds to the list of those declared
to be unauthorized entrants, persons who come to Hong Kong from China without official documents issued in
China.
