Third Schedule.

(2) The Third Schedule shall have

effect for the purpose of regulating

appeals to an adjudicator.".

Addition of Third Schedule.

The principal regulations are amended by adding

after the Second Schedule the following Schedule

"THIRD SCHEDULE /reg. 9A.7

Duty of Director of Immigration in respect of notices of appeal.

1.

The Director of Immigration

shall cause every notice of appeal to

be delivered to an adjudicator as soon

as is practicable.

Expediting appeals.

2. An adjudicator shall deal with an

appeal as expeditiously as is practicable,

and for that purpose may sit at any time.

Hearings to be in private.

3. An appeal shall be heard in

private.

Adjudicator

not confined to grounds set out in notice of appeal.

4. An adjudicator may consider any

matter which appears to him to be relevant

to any ground of appeal permitted by the

Ordinance notwithstanding, the omission of

any reference to such matter in the notice

of appeal, and may receive and consider

any evidence which appears to him to be

relevant to the issues before him
