Which CUKCs would become British Citizens?

Generally speaking the following would become British Citizens:

i) those who are CUKCS by reason of their birth,

adoption, naturalisation or registration in

the United Kingdom or who were born to or

adopted by a parent or grandparent who, at the time of the birth or adoption, was a CUKC by birth, adoption, naturalisation or registration in the United Kingdom.

a woman who is a CUKC and who has been married to a

man who becomes a British Citizen;

iii) those CUKCs from overseas who have at any time been lawfully settled in the United Kingdom for 5 years.

Which CUKCS would become Dependent Territories Citizens? All those who are at present CUKCs and who were born, naturalised or registered in an existing dependency or had a parent or grandparent so born, naturalised or registered would become British Dependent Territories Citizens. A woman who is a CUKC who has been married

to a man who becomes a Dependent Territories Citizen would also become a Dependent Territories Citizen.

Which CUKCs would become British Overseas Citizens?

All those who are at present CUKCs but who do not qualify for either of the other two categories of citizenship would become British Overseas Citizens.
