9. Regulation 23 is revoked and replaced by the

following

23.

"Offences and penalties.

23. (1) Any person who contravenes

regulation 4 commits an offence and is

liable to a fine of $10,000 and to imprison-

ment for 6 months, and in the case of a

continuing offence to a further daily

penalty of $250.

(2) Any person who contravenes

regulation 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20,

21 or 22 commits an offence and is liable

to a fine of $2,000 and to imprisonment for

3 months, and in the case of a continuing

offence to a further daily penalty of $50."

Transitional.

10.

Any licence issued or renewed under regulation 7

of the principal regulations and in force at the commence-

ment of these regulations shall, subject to the Ordinance, continue in force until the date of expiry, and for the purposes of the principal regulations as amended by these

regulations

(a) the licence shall be deemed to have been

issued or renewed under regulation 10 of

the principal regulations as amended by

these regulations; and
