1. Governor Ariyoshi of Hawaii is visting London on an IPD/COI sponsored visit from 26 April to 1 May.

2.

As part of his programme, he has asked for briefing at the FCO. He is particularly interested in immigration and migration from South East Asia and the Pacific. The briefing at the FCO . is provisionally fixed for 3 pm on Monday 28 April.

3. We intend to give him a general briefing on Anglo/American relations, but I should be grateful if you would nominate a member of your Department to be on hand on that afternoon to discuss the question of immigration etc eg boat people.
