(2) Where at the commencement of these regulations

a vehicle is detained under regulation 161(2) of the

principal regulations, the daily storage charge payable

under that regulation after the second day during which

it is detained shall be

(a) $20 for every day before the commencement

of these regulations; and

(b) $35 for every day thereafter.

Explanatory Note

Regulation 2 increases the removal charge for

abandoned vehicles from $80 to $110 and increases the

storage charge from $20 to $35 a day.

Regulation 3 contains transitional provisions

in respect of the increased removal and storage charges.
