This is due not only to the appearance of CPA on the international scene, but also to the fact that most of the lucrative rights (especially in Europe) sought by us in exchange for Hong Kong rights have already been obtained.

Rights at Hong Kong therefore play a much less important role in our negotiating positions to the advantage of UK-based airlines than they once did.
