1) Officers belonging to organizations under the sovereignty of the

Republio, having themselves applied, and having obtained the consent of

the Republic and the department heads concerned, as well as the consent of

the Governor, may serve in Macau for regular periods; under such circum-

stances, the legal validity of such services will be regarded as actual

periods of service in their original organizations at their original ranks.

2) The aforesaid officers, after having themselves applied and having

obtained the consent of the department heads concerned, may become officers

serving in organizations in Macau, but the right of appointment to a new

organization rests with the Governor.

3) Officers of the Co-operative Ministry, on invitation by the Macau

Government and being approved by the department heads concerned, may serve

in Macau on ordinary or temporary terms of service.

Article 70

1) Officers serving in organizations in Macau, after having themselves

applied and having obtained the consent of the interested Government, may,

on the basis of individual agreement, serve regular periods of time in

organizations under the sovereignty of the Republic of Portugal or organizations

in ex-colonies of Portugal; under such circumstances, all legal validity

of such services will be regarded as actual services in their original organ_-

zations at their original ranks.

2) The aforesaid officers, after having themselves applied and having

obtained the consent of the Governor of Macau, may be transferred to organi-

zations under the sovereignty of the Republic of Portugal or organizations in

ex-colonies of Portugal, subject to appointment to a new organization by the

department concerned in such areas.
