EXAMPLES OF CALCULATION OF LONG HOURS GRATUITIES

Example 1: An officer conditioned to a 41 hour week works 27 excess hours in the first 3 weeks of a long hours gratuity period, strikes for 2 days in the fourth week but does not work excess hours on the other 3 days and works 25 excess hours in the remaining 2 weeks. The gratuity is calculated as follows:-
