Many thanks for your letter of 19th January and its enclosures, which arrived at the end of last week after the Chinese New Year holidays. They are all very useful.

We are having our first meeting on 9th February. You may care to see the Agenda which I am enclosing together with the Commission's final T.0.Rs.

We have been working on a programme of work for the coming six months, and once this is agreed we shall be really hard at it. For the moment the pressure previously exerted by individual groups is off.

I have no doubt that I shall be turning to you for more help in the months to come, and it is gratifying to know that we have your sympathetic and full support at this end.

Enc.

With best wishes.
