Dear Sir/Madam,

Tax

refund due to the estate of Mr. Cecil Vincent Penhearow

deceased

Enclosed herewith, please find a draft computation from which you will see that a tax refund in the amount of $.4,382,99..

is due to the estate of the abovenamed deceased.

I shall be grateful if you will advise your client to forward the Grant of Probate of Letters of Administration for inspection so that a formal Notice of Refund may be issued, and a refund cheque be made out in the name of the executor or administrator of the Estate. You will, of course, understand that no refund may be released unless the same has been disclosed in the Schedule of property annexed to the Grant or, in any case where there is only a "simplified" Grant (to which only a Certificate of Exemption from Estate Duty is annexed), the amount of the refund has been declared for Estate Duty purposes.

Should you have any query on the Estate Duty aspect, would you please write direct to the Estate Duty Office, Club Lusitano Building, 7th floor, No.16, Ice House Street, Hong Kong.

Yours faithfully,

/11
