The tenancies in question are let for commercial purposes, and commercial rents should apply. Even after the current increase, rents are well below market value. There is no case for not implementing this modest increase. There is no case for members of the Management Committee to spend their time interviewing this Association, which would serve only to encourage false hopes or further activity on their part. The tenants concerned have made their views clearly known to Mrs. Elliott, who has passed them on to the Chairman of the Committee.
