The Council considered memorandum XCC(79)54.
The Council ADVISED and the Governor ORDERED:
that the principles outlined in
paragraph 10 and the guidelines outlined in paragraph 11 of the memorandum should be adopted for the formulation of future policies governing the provision of assistance towards housing for civil servants.
The Council noted that the Secretary for
the Civil Service proposed
(a)
to consult the Civil Service Council, and
(b)
to consult Heads of Departments and through
them the various departmental staff
associations,
on the schemes of assistance outlined in paragraph
12 to 19 of the memorandum, stressing the point
made in paragraph 24; and
