Thank you very much for leading our team so well

in Geneva and for all the preparatory work which you

will have put in over the last few weeks. I think the

results have more than justified us in calling for a

conference and our own contribution, both practical and

political, has been well received.

I should also like, through you, to thank all the officials who have worked so hard, particularly in the

Department where it is easy to feel that long hours of

hard work have gone unnoticed. They have not; and I am

most grateful.
