INDO-CHINESE REFUGEES: INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

1.

Our Mission in New York wish to pass on to Dr Waldheim our views on the timing and composition of the Conference proposed by the Prime Minister and issues to be raised there. This would enable them to undertake supporting Lobbying in New York, now that Waldheim has given a cautiously favourable response to the, Prime Minister's proposal.

2. I attach a draft*reply using guidance in Sir A Parsons' minute of 30 May and Mr Murray's minute of 1 June. United Nations Department agree.
