""child" means

(a) until the expiration of 31 August 1980,

a person under the age of 14 years; and

(b) with effect from 1 September 1980, a

person under the age of 15 years;"; and

(b) delete the definition of "young person" and sub-

stitute the following

""young person" means

(a) until the expiration of 31 August 1980,

a person who has attained the age of

14 years but not the age of 18 years;

and

(b) with effect from 1 September 1980, a

person who has attained the age of 15

years but not the age of 18 years.".

In section 63, after subsection (5), insert the

following
