I attach a copy of a letter from Mr Jeaffreson, Secretary for Economic Services in Hong Kong, together with a copy of Hong Kong telegram No 437. May I leave it to you to arrange any additional copying you think necessary?

I do not know whether the DOT share Mr Jeaffreson's understanding of what has been agreed as regards future work on the Hong Kong/London air services (paragraph 5 of the Ietter). If not, we should say so. case be needed for the question posed in Hong Kong telegram An answer will in any No 437.

As regards paragraph 6 of the letter, I imagine that you would prefer MAED to be the point of contact in the FCO. I certainly have no objection but would want to receive copies of correspondence.
