A BILL

ΤΟ

Amend the Shipping and Port Control Ordinance 1978.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the shipping

and Port Control (Amendment) ordinance 1979.

Amendment of

section 72.

2.

Section 72 of the principal ordinance is

(76 of 1978.) amended by deleting "is liable to a fine of $50,000

and to imprisonment for 2 years" and substituting

the following

Addition of section 72A.

is liable -

(a) on conviction on indictment

to a fine of $200,000 and to

imprisonment for 4 years; and

(b) on summary conviction to a fine

of $200,000 and to imprisonment

for 2 years.".

3. The principal ordinance is amended by adding

after section 72 the following section
