Piers and
ferry berths
8. (1) The licensee shall make use of, for the purpose of the
ferry service, the following marine frontages for the provision
of ferry landing points :
The frontage of Aberdeen being on the
seawall between the Aberdeen Wholesale Market
and the Government Pier, and at Ap Lei Chau the
shore between the north east point of the Island

and the Hung Shing Temple.

(2) In the event of Government commencing reclamation
work on either shoreline, the licensee shall make use of other
landing points as the Commissioner for Transport may
direct.
9.
The landing pontoons shall be provided, adapted,
repaired and maintained by the licensee at Aberdeen and Ap
Lei Chau to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works
and the Director of Marine for the embarkation and dis-embarkation
of passengers. In the event of government carrying out reclamation
work on either shoreline, the licensee shall be responsible for
shifting to and from a temporary landing point. Awnings, barriers,
gates, turnstiles, ticket offices and structures employed for the
purpose of this ferry shall be built (if necessary), adapted,
repaired and maintained by the licensee to the satisfaction of
the Director of Public Works and the Director of Marine. At the
expiry of the licence, the licensee shall ensure that the pontoons
and other associated structures erected by the licensee are re-
bi ona yf berada moved and that the seawall shall be made good. If the licensee
should default in removing the pontoons and other associated

structures and making good the seawall as required, the Director
of Marine or Director of Public Works may do so and he shall be
entitled to reimbursement by the licensee of all expenses
incurred
not w
thereto.
