THE FERRIES ORDINANCE (CAP. 104)

LICENCE

(Granted under Regulation 10 of the Ferries Regulations)

for

Exclusive right to maintain a

ferry service between

Aberdeen and Ap Lei Chau

within the limits of Aberdeen Harbour

LICENCE is hereby granted by the Commissioner for

Transport of the Colony of Hong Kong with the previous approval

of the Governor in Council to STERN FERRY COMPANY OF VANG KEE

BUILDING GROUND FLOOR, 37 CONNAUGHT ROAD CENTRAL, HONG KONG.

in the said Colony (hereinafter referred to as the licensee)

for the exclusive right to maintain a ferry service for the

conveyance of passengers, their luggage and general cargo

(other than mechanically propelled vehicles) only at fares

not exceeding the maximum fares hereinafter set forth for

the period commencing on the 1st September 1979 and expiring

on the 31st December 1980between Aberdeen and Ap Lei Chau within

the limits of Aberdeen Harbour of the said Colony subject to the

payment of the monthly rent and upon the following conditions :-

The licensee shall at all times reside within the Colony

during the continuance of this licence.

The licensee hereby assures the Government of Hong Kong

that at all times (including any and every emergency) the ferry

service shall be duly and loyally maintained and that this assurance

shall be observed by the licensee with the utmost good faith and

shall be the basis of this licence and if it shall any time appear

to the Commissioner for Transport that this assurance has failed,

then the Commissioner for Transport may forthwith cancel this licence

and thereupon all the powers and privileges of the licensee under

this) licence shall cease and terminate and the ferry service shall

be deemed to have been discontinued by the licensee.
