ARTICLE 3

(1) s

The Contracting Parties agree mutually to grant most favoured nation treat-

ment to vessels and to crew members, as well as to cargo and passengers carried.

Such treatment shall not be less favourable than that given to a third country.

(2) p) When the vessels of either Contracting Party travel in the territorial and

internal waters of the other Party, enter or leave its ports, anchor inside

or outside its harbours, these vessels and their passengers, crew members

and cargo shall receive most favoured nation treatment in such matters as

regulations and formalities governing customs, quarantine restrictions,

various/d

entry to and departure from harbours; the levying of various duties and

fees; mooring in port or at anchorage; shifting berths or anchorages; loading

and discharging and transhipment of cargo; furnishing supplies and port

facilities required by the vessel, crew and passengers; furnishing spare

gear, equipment and fittings required by the vessel; use of harbour equipment

and navigation aid equipment; pilotage service.

This Agreement shall not apply to advantages, favours, privileges and

immunities resulting from any existing or future customs union or similar

international agreements to which either of the Contracting Parties is or

may become a party.
