when I mentioned this plan in Bangkok, Dr Apedit, the Foreign Minister, warmly welcomed the proposed visit.

2. The Governor of llong Kong was delighted to hear of the idea and hoped that Mr Blaker would be able to stay at least two days. ile mentioned that he was planning to go away on

a visit which would take him to the USA on or about

25 September. e, therefore, hoped that ur Blaker would visit Hong Kong at an early stage in his proposed tour.
