On the question of "home-visit permits", is there anything else you
would like us to tell compatriots in Hong Kong and Macau?
"Home-visit perait" is a travel document between Hong Kong /
Macau
and China valid for three years. We hope that Hong Kong and Macau
compatriots who have obtained it will take good care of it. If the
permit or any of its attached pages is lost on the journey to China,
the owner should waste no time in reporting the loss to the local Public
Security Bureau, and if the Bureau finds the report genuine, it will
issue a document to certify the loss. The owner, on retur to Hong Kong or Macau, may then apply for a new permit through China Travels. If,
on the other hand, the permit is lost in Hong Kong or Macau, the omer
should write to China Travels, quoting the number on the permit and
explaining the circumstances of its loss, and then re-apply. One point
I would like to stress is that no one should attempt to apply or re-apply
for these permits under false pretences or forge them. Those proved to
have done so will be dealt with by the local public security establishments
according to the law.
