In December last you were good enough to help me with an enquiry from Hong Kong about UK parallels with Government Service Regulations.

2. I now have another enquiry from Hong kong asking:

(a) whether there is any provision such as Ck55 in respect

of British Crown Servants and whether and in what circum- stances it is ever used?

(b) whether there is any code of practice in Britain restric-

ting the promotion of Crown Servants whose integrity is suspect?

3. I enclose a copy of CR55, whose provisions seem to be similar to that in Estacode Kb 11.
