1. We spoke about the proposal that Fir G P Lloyd's term of office as Leputy Governor, Bermuda, should be extended. Mr Lloyd, who is a member of HOCS, has held this appointment since 26 April 1974. The proposal is that he should remain in office until September 1981 when he will reach the normal HMCCS retiring age of 55.
2. The FUS, after discussion with Sir P Ramsbotham, is favourably disposed towards leaving Mr Lloyd in post as suggested but considers (now that the DTSAB has been wound
that the matter should be put to a DS Board. As fir Lloyd is the equivalent of a DS4, I understand that the No.2 Board would be the appropriate one.
3. You promised to include Mr Lloyd's name in the Aide-Memoire you were preparing for the Chief Clerk. You will no doubt advise me in due course of what action you require from HKGD when the Board is due to sit.
