I hope you will not mind our taking an interest in the affairs of the Hong Kong Government Shorthand-Audio Typists Association, You will know that they came to see us and other unions in London and, as usual, made a very personable impression on us all.

I wonder what progress has been made on their claim? We very much take the view that there should be some enquiry and perhaps conciliation and/or arbitration, helped on by some judicious job assesament. We would be willing to help in any way possible and, if you think we could help, please do let me know.
