13th February, 1978.

United Kingdom.

Dear John & Joan,

:

Thank you for your letters dated 18th January and 3rd February 1978, together with letters from Lord Brockway.

The copies of the parliamentary exchange did encourage the whole of Shorthand-Audio Typists, and indeed, we highly appreciate the kind assistance and support offered from the United Kingdom, in particular from your goods elves. In reply, we have written to Lord Brockway, to express our gratitude.

I wish to inform you that on the 27th January 1978, an Annual General Meeting of our Union was held, in which Matilda CHEUNG LIU Choi-kam gave up per position as Chairman because she is busy to take care of her family where she is mother of two children, I was then elected as Chairman. We trust that this arrangement would not affect our Union as we will carry on under the same policy.

At present, we are awaiting anxiously a truly independent arbitrator for settlement, and hope this could be obtained without short.

I will, of course, submit any result out coming in this connection and it is a pleasure to have close touch with you, the lovely couple.

Meanwhile, please send my regards to Debbie.

With best wishes,

Yours sincerely,

(So choi-lin)
