(a) It should be realized that the mentioned agreements, originally introduced by the Official Side and to your knowledge, were disadvantageous to the S.A.T.s. That is why the formation of this Unit of hica our primary purpose is airing the past and existing grievances. The P.I.U. Report in 1976 of Secretarial Class on page 3 para. 16 quoted as follows :
"The Unit would also be pleased to receive submission
as to how future reports may be made more useful."
We do not agree that any anomalies were corrected at that time.
(b) In 1965, the Salaries Commission Report recommended that the
pay scale for 3.4.T.s should be started at Point 3 to Point 16 of the Scale 'C' S.A.T.s drew 75% of the pay as well as other female staff in the Civil Service. ven so, the S.A.T.s at that time with equal academic qualification plus professional training, were an arded 5 points ahead at entry, and received equivalent maximua when compared with the Clerical Officer II (female). The following chart tabulated the salary scale of S.A.T.S, C.O. II (male) and C.0. II (female) during the year of 1965 :-

The Government did not adopt the revised salary (#445- $775) proposed by the 1965 Salaries Commission; as a result, S.A.T.s were already underpaid with the Government proposed scale ($420-4765) at that time.
