The Chairman then summed up by saying that there were no evidence to support any further changes in salary scale but they could sce possibilities of improvements of promotion prospects depending on the result of the survey.

The Chairman then suggested to adjourn the meeting and asked the Staff Side whether they would like to fix a date for the next meeting.

Miss So prompted the Official Side to suggest a date.

The Chairman suggested either next Wednesday or Thursday.

Mrs. Cheung ended the meeting by demanding Official Side's clarification to the abovesaid in this meeting and at that stage, they reserved their presentation and rather observed the Official Side's intentions. She stressed that reasonings and sincerity should be shown instead of excuses such as "agreed procedure, normal procedure or correct procedure" from the Official Side.
