Proposed Restructuring of the Shorthand/Audio Typist Grade

I forward herewith a letter dated 8th December, 1976 from Mrs. Matilda Cheung, the new Chairman of the S.A.T. Unit of our Association, and should be grateful if this matter would receive your due consideration.

I regret that it has been found that the represen- tatives of the S.A.T. Unit had not been given the mandate by their members to make an agreement with the Government to restructure the S.A.7. grade along the lines as proposed by the Government at the meeting held on 29th October, 1976.

As a result, the Executive Committee of the S.A.T. Unit was re-elected on 4th December, 1976 and a new Executive Committee of the Unit, chaired by Mrs. Matilda Cheung, has now been established.

In view of these circumstances, I should be grateful if you would defer implementation of the restructuring of the S.A.T. grade and resume discussion of this matter with the new Executive Committee of the S... Unit.
