Thank you for your letter or February signed by yourself, Bob Parry and Stan Thorne, about the death of Liu Ping-hon.
As I said in my letters of 5 January to you and Stan Thorne, a special investigation squad set up by the Director of Criminal Investigations has been carrying out a new inquiry into this incident. Their report has just been submitted to the Hong Kong Attorney-General. I have asked for a full account of the investigation to be sent as soon as possible and I will write to you again when I have been able to study it.
