On 15 February I sent you an interim reply to the letter of 1 February signed by yourself, Bob Parry and Stan Thorne, about the death of Liu Ping-hon. I promised to write to you again once I knew the result of the re-investigation of the case.

After studying a full account of the re-investigation, the Attorney-General in Hong Kong has decided that the new evidence uncovered justifies a re-opening of the Coroner's inquiry. The new hearing is scheduled for 10 May.

I will write to you again as soon as there are further developments to report in this case. In the meantime you will, no doubt, show this letter to Bob and Stan.
