Sir,
I received a letter from Angus Niu Wah On, City District Officer (Kowloon City) informing me that your department proposes to widen Junction Road and the pavements along the road, and some buildings will be affected. I am much worried because my Hop Shing Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Co. is included in the proposed plan. We shall lose our means of living if my business is closed as a result of the proposed plan. I hereby request your department to withdraw the plan or, as an alternative, grant me a suitable site for the operation of my business and compensation for all my losses in removal. Your department is requested to commiserate our difficulties and give us assistance.
